Jeni Hancock
I first established Pure Pilates eight years ago as I kept meeting people who had tried Pilates but said it had hurt their back, I knew this wasn't right! Working closely with Physiotherapists, Chiropractors and Osteopaths has given me an insight into how Pilates can compliment all of these treatments. I am continually training and learning new skills to broaden my knowledge and develop a deeper understanding of the human body and its movement patterns. With my background in dance, Pilates feeds my need for technique!
My aim is not only to teach a client Pilates but to educate and inform them about everyday functional movement in a relaxed and friendly manner.

All instructors have to pass extensive theory papers, present case studies and plan both progressive and remedial programmes. The final assessment is based around hours of observed teaching and a final practical assessment.'
'I was diagnosed with a back injury in 2002.I now look upon Pilates as my daily medicine rather than drugs. Not only has Pilates greatly improved my back pain management but also has enabled me to lose weight and improve my posture' - Valerie
